Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America, is an actress and a singer. She is a Michigan native, born and was raised by her parents Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) as well as Tom Bell (a TV news director). Her family ancestry includes Polish (mother) as well as German, English, Irish, and Scottish (father). Kristen was already a talented performer from a young age. In 1992 she won her first role at her audition in Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell's mother signed her up with an agency just before her 13th birthday. She later appeared on television commercials as well as newspaper advertisements. Also, Bell began taking private acting classes. Bell had a role that was not credited of Polish Wedding (1998), the film that was released in 1998. Bell was a member of the drama and music club in Shrine Catholic High School. Bell was cast as Dorothy in the high-school production in The Wizard of Oz. Bell was a student at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, where she studied Musical Theatre within New York City. Bell quit studying in the year 2001, and assumed the role of Becky who is a character from Tom Sawyer. That same year, she was in Pootie Tang, but the sequence in which she made an appearance was cut. In the end, only her credit sequence exists. Bell was featured in the Broadway revival The Crucible starring Liam Neeson & Angela Bettis.
