Amy Smart is an American former model and actress. Her birthplace and childhood were in California in the USA. The career in modeling began in Italy. In 1996, she made her debut acting as an actor in a TV movie titled "Her Costly Affair.' After that, she was a star as a supporting character in the movie "Starship Troopers", she had a very difficult time. Her struggle was with transitioning between acting and modelling because model actors aren't always considered good actors, and they're usually given insignificant and small part. Amy persevered, and she eventually landed larger roles. It started with the tv series "The 70's" as well as the film "Varsity Blues". The romantic comedy film "Just Friends" which starred Ryan Reynolds gave her her first leading role. The film was a major film at the box office and Amy discovered the recognition she'd been trying for for more than a decade. She continued to do significant films, like the series 'Crank' starring Jason Statham and the series "Shameless," where she played a well loved characters.
